Cookie policy

What we store on your device, why we use it and how you can change your choices.

Last updated: 13 September 2026.

Our approach

PRONK! uses a small amount of necessary browser storage to remember your privacy choices. Optional analytics and optional external media are not loaded until you choose to allow them.

You can reopen the consent controls at any time using Cookie settings.

Necessary preference storage

We store a first-party local-storage item called pronk_consent_v2. It records whether you allowed analytics and external media, together with the date of your choice. This is necessary to remember your preference and prevent the consent bar appearing on every page. The website asks again after approximately 180 days, or sooner if the consent system materially changes.

Google Analytics (optional)

If you accept analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 using measurement ID G-53YP03C9SN. It helps us understand aggregate website use, including pages visited, traffic sources, devices and interactions. We do not load Analytics before consent and we keep Google advertising storage and personalisation signals disabled in the site implementation.

NameProviderPurposeTypical lifetime
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes visitors for analytics measurement.Up to 2 years
_ga_53YP03C9SNGoogle AnalyticsPersists session state for this GA4 property.Up to 2 years

Browser restrictions may shorten those lifetimes. If you withdraw analytics consent, the site updates the consent state and removes first-party Google Analytics cookies it can identify on this domain.

External media (optional)

Some project pages can display Apple Podcasts players. The player does not load until you allow external media or press the button to load it. Once loaded, Apple may set cookies or use similar storage and receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and the page containing the player. Apple's storage names and durations are controlled by Apple and may change.

What counts as consent

Optional categories are off by default. Choosing “Accept optional”, selecting categories and saving them, or deliberately loading an external-media player records a positive choice. Choosing “Reject optional” keeps optional categories off. Simply continuing to browse does not count as consent.

Changing your choice

Use Cookie settings at any time. If you switch off a category that has already loaded in the current page, the site may refresh so the third-party tool is no longer active.
