The third episode of Made In Latin America is now live: The Ñuu Savi, People of the Rain.
This episode turns our focus to the Ñuu Savi – the Mixtec peoples of southern Mexico – and their deep-rooted connection to rain, land, and language. We hear from voices within the community who speak of ancestry, displacement, and cultural continuity across centuries.
Produced as part of a seven-part collaboration with SDCelar at the British Museum, the series continues to centre Indigenous perspectives on identity and resilience. The episode also considers the effects of colonial categorisation and how Ñuu Savi knowledge systems have endured and adapted.
With vivid sound design and rich conversation, this story is a window into living heritage – not just objects in a museum, but people and traditions still present, still speaking.
If you’re new to the series, start with Episode 1: The Tonindeye Codex or Episode 2: Deciphering Pictographs.
