The objective of the partnership was to combine their skill sets – science, music, and above all story-telling – to create refreshingly original and ambitious theatre.
Pronk – an Afrikaans word meaning to strut or show-off.
Most commonly used to describe the display-leaps of Springbok and other antelope, when they jump with all four feet pushing off the ground at once.
“We still don’t know exactly why they do this … the simplest answer is that they are dancing for joy.” (Sir David Attenborough)
PRONK! is for everyone who enjoys discovery and real-life adventures. We believe that shining the torch of science into the unknown does not diminish the world of magic, but rather discovers it everywhere we look. Join us to relish in the astounding natural beauty of the world, and to joyfully leap together – with all of our feet off the ground.
